
This recipe is a special one! During our anniversary last year, we had dinner at a restaurant, when I came across this kebab in the Menu.
It was so delicious that the very next day (and few days after that) I kept experimenting various methods of recreating the same dish; trying to recollect the various flavors. Finally, after a few attempts, I think I was able to recreate it and after a few more attempts I was able to enhance it further (I think š).
So, every time I prepare this kebab, it brings back all the fond memories of that evening š. Sharing with all of you the final recipe:
Ingredients (10 kebabs)
Preparation time: 40 mins
- Minced Chicken – ½ kg
- Coconut (Grated) – ½ cup
- Coriander Leaves ā ½ cup
- Green Chilly ā 4
- Garlic cloves ā 4
- Ginger ā 1 inch
- Onion (Medium) ā ½
- Cheese ā ½ cup
- Ghee – 2 tbsp
- Garam Masala powder ā 2 tbsp
- Curry leaves ā 8 leaves
- Cashews ā 15 -20
- Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
- Gram Flour ā 2 tbsp
- Lemon ā 1
- Salt to taste
Method:
Add in turmeric powder, garam masala powder, gram flour, lemon juice, salt & pepper into minced chicken and mix them well

Coarsely grind together ā Coconut, coriander leaves, onion, chilly, garlic, ginger & curry leaves
Add the ground paste into minced chicken

Refrigerate the mixture for 20 minutes
Remove the mixture from refrigerator and add chopped cashews & 1 tbsp ghee & mix again
Grab a handful of paste, roll into a ball and place cheese in the centre and wrap the chicken paste around it and flatten them as shown in the picture.

Dip the kebabs into the eggs mixture
In a pan heat ghee on medium flame and place the kebabs and fry them

Once well-cooked, take out and serve the kebabs with any chutney of your choice
