The Brooklyn Bridge is a hybrid cable-stayed/ suspension bridge which connects Manhattan and Brooklyn across the East river. At the time of its construction, it was also the world’s longest suspension bridge.
The bridge looked quite spectacular. We were truly amazed at this man made marvel.
Because our accommodation was within walking distance of the bridge, we chose to explore it on foot while also visiting surrounding attractions.
We reached the location in the evening. Its quite a busy place with locals taking strolls and visitors taking pictures. You will also see quite a few people on bicycles. It was great to watch all this, but on the flip side, that’s one of the reasons we could not click many pictures.
Some of the people informed us that the best time to visit Brooklyn Bridge was in the morning. But for some reason we could not make that morning trip. That’s something we intend to do on our future trip.
