Walking with the clouds
I remember as a kid watching Kannan Devan TV commercial and wondering exactly where these lovely lush green tea estates were. Even though I had no idea where it was, every time I watched this TV commercial I would daydream of going there. And after few years, this desire of mine got fulfilled. I finally had the chance to visit these gorgeous hills.

In the Idukki district of Kerala, a state in southern India, is Munnar, a picturesque hill town. The town is known for its mist covered hills, lush green tea plantations, stunning waterfalls and serene surroundings. Its is Kerala’s most popular tourist destination and a ideal location for a peaceful vacation.

There are plenty of cozy mountain lodges and resorts where you can relax and enjoy the stunning views from the comfort of a warm and comfortable room.
We stayed at a resort (Club Mahindra, Munnar) which overlooked this lush green tea plantation. Walking around the misty mountains, as a little drizzle touched our skin while the cool breeze blew all around us, made it even more magical.

The velvety green tea plants are spread out across the rolling hills that extend as far as the eye can see. I was mesmerised looking at such gorgeous scenery in front of me and I couldn’t help but take a deep breathe in and just soak it all in. It was a moment of pure bliss.
